Courage
I set sail at sunrise
leaving the safe harbor for the open sea.
Face to the wind.
I look beyond fear to the horizon
where my dream dances in thin light
Hand to the helm, I trim the sails
and never look back.
- from Morning’s light: Poems from my Journal
Embraced
Love came silently, softly
like morning fog rolling in from the sea
And with the fullness of summer
lifted me, a fallen windflower, to the sun
